I was just talking with my friend yesterday that the NYINC show is somewhat of a big deal, especially if your looking for ancient Judean coins and such. And it is expected to run this January assuming that the conditions remain stable with COVID-19. But I couldn't understand how they planned it to open at the Grand Hyatt which is over Grand Central Station and is not just shuttered and desolate, but I think they have plans to close it and rebuild. SUre enough, the show is moving to 111 East 48th Street, which is the InterContinental Barclay hotel https://www.icbarclay.com/ https://www.numismaticnews.net/even...o-new-site-for-january-2022-50th-annual-event for details
Yup, I went many years go also, probably at the Waldorf. It has been a long time. Crowed, narrow halls, noisy
Sounds like you went to a stock yard sale Treashunt, ha. I don't get that far East. Good luck, buy what you need not what you want, have fun be safe.
I miss the musty old Waldorf. Lots of fond memories there, poring over ancient coins all day long. Manhatten is a bitch to get in and out of though. I wish the show would move somewhere less populated, like, say...Hicksville.
If it was hard to get to it wouldn't exist as the metropolis it is. The local is right above a full blown railroad station with 3 major transport services, the LIRR, Metro North and The IRT, not to mention the 3 local airports and this is not isn't convientent enough? I don't even know what this means? Hickville has all the traffic of Long Island with no public accomedations to speak of. Nothing like being stuck on the Grand Central Parkway for hours at a time on a Sunday. The whole of Long Island is all but a cesspool of bad transportation, with over crowding and no public access, not to mention the hostile locals.
