    Hello!

Does anyone happen to have a copy of the 1996 catalog from Munzauktion Tkalec and could be helpful to post a photo of lot 134 with text and photo? Its a Nero denarius.

The sale was held October 25th 1996.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Here it is, as an enlargement and life-size listing:

The PR was 2800 ChF + 15% buyer's fee (if delivered outside Switzerland).
(Add 6.5% sales tax additional if delivered in Switzerland.)

My enlarged photo has some glare on the right side that the original photo does not.

    I hope this helps.

That's wonderful! Thanks! Very helpful to verify provenances.

I hoped that perhaps the lot description included some more info about its provenance, so guess ill keep on searching. Or perhaps the catalogue says something about who's collection was up for sale in this 1996 sale?

From what I understood it was a well renowned auction house?

..now ain't that kool...ole @Valentinian came right up with it...my last purchase(also my 1st auction house purchase) was two Becker forgeries denarii of Aemilian from an auction house in Deutschland and i emailed the 1984 seller(fortunate they kept the old name too) and they sent me a download page of the catalogue when the coins were sold then...but unless they are selling a specific well known collectors coins, they won't give ya squat on what individual bought or sold'em... Tkalec was always basically a 1-man shop, rather than a larger operation like CNG or NAC or Roma. I believe he's retired now.
