    It really only looks raised on the loop side of the 'D'. The coin has been around for a long time.

    I'm still here... I'm trying to get a better angle on the "D"
    As I noted in the first image, it is SLIGHTY (very little) raised on the right side of the "D"

    I've looked myself crossed eyed before.

    Is that a Dent, Dollar, inside the D or is it flesh with the field?

    It's damage. The reeded edge of another coin creates this kind of thing when it smacks up against the field of a coin.
