I see a lot of circulation marks & gouges, but I don't see a die chip.

I live 2 hours from the Philadelphia Mint and I can’t even find a P coin that’s new.

I don't find D coins EVER in Maine.
But when I do, they typically are real clean and lustrous.

You're not checking the right urinals. Try some bars and pool rooms.

I had trouble getting "D" quarters from circulation, so I ended up buying them and probably paid more than I should, but my patience was shot. Most of my coins are pretty nice. If I got a poor quarter, I would put it in its slot and when I got a better one, I would replace them. I see very few coins with a "D" here in North Carolina.

What is the origin of an "S" mint coin? It would seem that it would have to be taen from a set, like Proof Set or the P/D/S set unless it is silver, then it would have come out of the Silver Proof Set or several other sets. Any chance it is silver? How would you find out. I save all of my "S" mint coins whether they are silver or clad.

Lucky you, here in Kansas City all we get in Dnever mint coins, anything else was probably brought in state by someone outside our state, who knows.

Here in Florida I get a healthy mixture of P and D coins when I search. Just grabbed a handful of the last quarters I searched this morning and had 40 P's and 18 D's.
