I ordered this from Canada and it arrived faster than things ordered in the United States...go figure! The scratches on the reverse are from packaging and are only on the airtite. Obverse.jpg Reverse.jpg

That's a beautiful coin! Surprised you got it so fast from Canada! Mail is taking so long in the United States.

That is a beautiful coin. Love the design on both sides. Why can’t the US Mint produce coins like that? If they did their sales would skyrocket.

Odd that "CANADA" doesn't appear - the Queen is there, but she's pretty universal with that likeness is used in many Commonwealth coutries.

Why would Canada appear on a Cook Islands coin? They belong to the currency NZD (New Zealand Dollar)

Yes, I'm familiar with the many micronations that do this. Some of them are better than others, for sure.

I just don't know if I would want the portrait of the Queen superimposed on the Liberty bell. It seems a little out of touch to me :D

Out of touch maybe, but the original bell was cast in London, so it has a vague connection, lol
Speaker of the Pennsylvania Assembly Isaac Norris first ordered a bell for the bell tower in 1751 from the Whitechapel Foundry in London. That bell cracked on the first test ring. Local metalworkers John Pass and John Stow melted down that bell and cast a new one right here in Philadelphia

The Cook Islands are in the South Pacific. Though yes the Queen is on all coins there. Just has nothing to do with Canada ;)
