The leaves are falling, the harvest is well underway and the cider is pressed. Went to the 71st street Second Sunday coin show (Indianapolis). First show I've been to post pandemic and since my dad passed away. Nice foot traffic and a brisk bourse floor. Saw lots of great local dealers and friends. A few passed on their condolences in person, and many said my dad's knowledge, dedication to numismatic education and his pocketbook will all be missed. Lots of great coins both US and Foreign were out for sale. A few nice ancient and hammered pieces were present too! Didn't plan on buying anything, but a dealer had this puppy out. I love big silver and have always wanted a nice coin with Menelik II on it. 1895 Ethiopia Birr NGC XF 40
Condolences on your loss. That's a nice coin and a design I like as well! A coin show (especially one where you find a cool coin) is always a good way to spend a day.
