My LCS reduced the price of my birth year proof set (1956) by $15. I didn't have one so the time was right. The half dollar looks like it might need a dip.

I've got one! Special thanks to my friend @Beardigger for thinking of me, on this, and quite a few other things. Each coin is striking.

I only have the 2002 (birth year), and both 2020s. Don't need much else besides individual coins :)

Funny…… but I never got around to getting myself a birth year proof set. I did however get a hard to find D mint mark set (well circulated) that was thrown into the deal when I bought some junk silver a few years ago. Maybe next week I’ll look for a proof set for myself.

Loving all these nice Proof Sets showing up here!

Doug @GDJMSP tried to get a proof set for his birth year,

But the ancient Saxons didn't make any that year.

Come on Treashunt, Doug's younger than that, I think, I believe, perhaps. Oh darn, I don't know. He looks younger anyway!

I think they used pretty stones and gems before coins. If you're too old for coins then show us your birth stones or gems. Cleaned or not.

OK...1945 didn't have a proof set, but I assembled a nice set of coins as a "year" set. Then an incredibly generous Secret Santa here on CT gifted me one...here they are with my lousy photography:
