More than I already did? No. He is capable of looking up the VAM database and reviewing the specification for that year. There is no magic answer. If he wants to learn, he can go look.
BTW => https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/600242.Complete_Encyclopedia_of_U_S_and_Colonial_Coins# for those of us who are ignorant. BTW - I think the mint mark with its left tilt is very different than the vaireties in the 5601
Winner, Winner, Chicken dinner. I didn't mean to step on your toes about your thread CPL, but I was trying to give an example of a coin where the date could be positively ID'd by the reverse. (I still like your Morgan better than any 1973 Lincoln memorial.)
Well, just like the OP pic with the questions that didn’t get answered… Please tell me and the forum how you were able to ID the cent as 1973… Or @Cliff Reuter …Please and Thank You (in advance)…Spark
1973 was the only year that had this reverse. The "FG" initials are noticeably larger. In 1974, they were reduced in size.
@Mannie gray …I was not aware of this for the ‘73 cent. A BIG thank you for answering my question…Spark
Thanks Mannie. the large initials on the reverse were a one-year design. That knowledge has come in handy for putting a year to some errors where the date isn't visible. (Off center, Brockage, Grease filled, etc.) (Thanks CPL for bearing with us.)
