Hey everyone, I have these coins/medals that i´m having a hard time identifying. If anyone has a clue I would appriciate the help Siggi And this
Thank you very much, I had gone so far with it to the Czech Republic but stoped at krause. Do you know if it has any value ?
I have no idea sorry. The last picture translates to something like: to the memory of (can't read the word: Is it eingtlegte ?) protestation.
The second medal needs some explanation. The Reichstag of 1529 in Speyer was very important for the sake of protestantism. In 1521 Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, decided in the Edict of Worms that Martin Luther had no right to express his theories about protestantism and he also ordered that his books and writings had to be burned. Luther himself was outlawed by this edict. During the Reichstag in 1529, 6 princes and 14 Free Cities stood up for the protestant minority and asked that Martin Luther should have freedom of religion and freedom to preach his new visions on christianity. The 6 princes were: Elector Johann of Saxony, Markgraf (count) Georg of Brandenburg, duke Ernst of Brunswick-Lüneburg, landgraf (count) Philip of Hessen, prince Wolfgang of Anhalt, whose names are on the medal, but also duke Franz of Brunswick-Lüneburg. The 14 Free Cities were:Heilbronn, Isny, Kempten, Konstanz, Lindau, Memmingen, Nördlingen, Nürnberg, Reutlingen, St. Gallen, Strassburg, Ulm, Weissenburg and Windsheim.
