1978 US cent D?

I am not sure about D MM but it is a very interesting coin. It could be a doubled die body or a clash coin. What do you think experts? Thanks in advance for your helpful comments.

Looks like it is stained with something

 

LOL call the FCBI Federal coin bureau of intelligence both are possible suspects.Also just son damage with wife and husband wear and tear most likely.Still worth a cent at least for now.

 

It looks to have had several clashes with a parking lot. Only worth one cent.

 

Not a clash or an error by any standard. It’s beat up, stained and abused. It’s only worth one cent.

Really?they can be that dark in color i would've never thought of that.Now thats disturbing because I could have been holding hundreds to thousands of these with out even knowing.Not doing the proper measures after handling ASAP.So is this just 40 year old urine or just how it reacts with old copper cents.

It could of occured last week, last year or 40 years ago. It could of been any kind of chemical. Even soda. But always wash your hands anyway!
