I am in the UK. Just listened to Front Row 19.15 Radio 4 BBC Iplayer. Very interesting piece about the Pandora Papes The BM is looking at stuff which could have been stolen and which may have to be repatriated (whether returned or on permanent loan)..Ethiopia was mentioned. Although coins were not mentioned, just "artifacts", they did say that stuff being sent to the EU might be confriscated. The stuff the BM is looking at is late 1800s.
