In December 2020, I bought 2 Jefferson Nickel Whitman Folders for $35 each. The pre-war and war nickels were all XF/AU, but the post war date/mm in both folders were mostly uncirculated. The folders weren't completely full, but based on my math, each coin cost me $0.55. Here is the haul from JN Whitman Folder 2. 1946-D GEM BU FS (possible RPM) 1946-S NGC MS66 1948-D GEM BU 1948-S GEM BU 1949 GEM BU 1951-D GEM BU 1952-S GEM BU 1954-D GEM BU 1954-S GEM BU 1958 BU Black Beauty 1960-D Premium GEM BU
1896-O Barber Half $10 1836 Bust Half O-105 R-4 $25 (really wanted this one to be O-121... whatever) 1867-S half dime $25 Impressively toned 1922-S Peace Dollar $30
Not that I remember. I got it maybe 5 years ago. Obviously the hit on the eagle's breast is what brought the price down. 1960-D Washingtons that are nicely toned are hard to find as the Mint Sets were plastic by 1960. Given the toning coloration, my best GUESS is that it's enveloped toned.
