Sometime during the night I not only hit but I passed 33,000 likes. In order to celebrate this I’m posting this beautiful SLQ that I purchased in 2015. In the past 6 years it has been in a PVC flip and it has toned wonderfully. My local dealer has said it’s a full head and is a MS-64. I have no intention of selling. I’m not a big fan of toning but I do like this one. It’s a 1917-D Type 1 Standing Liberty Quarter. Only 1,509,200 were minted. The type 1 has Liberty’s right breast uncovered and the public complained so harshly that early in the year it was redesigned. Her breast was covered and the eagle and stars on the reverse were redone. The colors on the coin, all from natural toning, are very bright and vibrant in hand. They look a bit dull in the photos.
That's a pretty SLQ! I was hoping you wouldn't catch up to my milestone that I've been planning for a while. Wouldn't you know that we'd post them on the same day.
Thanks Chris. What milestone did you hit? I created this thread around 12:30 pm but I’ve been busy with Mercury Dimes, which I just posted a thread on them.
