Good morning all this is the second 1979 new date I found in the ice machine that I live next to it's like playing the one arm bandit but as you can see it is a near date but there could be other errors that I need your expert opinion on. The coin on the left is the near date that it also has something with the nine in the date it looks chopped off maybe a die break I don't think it's environmental also the p mint mark looks like a flying saucer and right across from the p going west looks like extra metal around the star but that's not all look at the b in Liberty it looks like a three was added the right side of the b which I know it's impossible but IMG_20211007_102442280~4.jpg IMG_20211007_102442280~2.jpg IMG_20211007_112658720.jpg IMG_20211007_102442280~4.jpg it looks so funky.

It's called a wide rim, but the nearness of the date to the rim is the way to identify it! I don't see anything else unusual about it! Looks to be in pretty nice condition except for some minor damage IMO!! Nice find!

Thank you very much that's the second one I found I have an ice machine next to me who spits out dollar coins so I go over there once in awhile throwing 20 bucks and get 20 $1 coins this one hit again on the 79. What do you think it's worth

You might check eBay for sold wide rims and see what they went for, or just do a search for the value! The 2019 red book lists is as $38.00 in MS63 grade.
