    I have looked everywhere for information on this coin, but I can't even find an exact match. All I know for certain is that it is a matrimonial arras.

    My favorite Civil War Token die sinkers, Mossin and Marr. John Marr made almost all of the CWT dies for this firm, and his work was first-rate.

    Token collectors call the reverse "The Naked Amazon." It was inspired by the painting, "Liberty Leading the People." It recalled the 1848 in Europe when there was a large number of uprisings against the various monarchies.
