I must say the US did a very good job with the state quarters and america the beautiful. I think the fact that they are circulating coins is key so it reaches much more people. Which country would you like to visit?
Italy and Canada have very beautiful coins so I would choose to visit either two, based on their coins.
I've liked getting Euro coins in change from countries like Andorra, Cyprus etc when I have been through Frankfurt or Vienna. Frankly the Austrian and German coins do nothing for me, but I do like the coins from some of the smaller less easy to find countries.
Italy for sure, and targeting Sicily. When I was last there (1990's) I was not actively collecting Sicilian coins like I am now. I went into a coin shop and they showed me all these silver coins with kings I never heard of. Now I know who all those King were and I've learned a lot about the history of Sicily. One thing is for sure when you collect coins you learn a lot about a countries history.
Czechia. Their current circulating series is one of my favorites. Honorable mentions to Brazil and Hungary.
Australia. I was there in 1977 before I was seriously collecting. Only port of call I visited while in the Navy that the people went out of their way to welcome us.
