When I was searching bags of Lincolns back in the mid-1960’s, 1919 was almost common. I probably had a roll of them. Those were part of what I sold when I was putting together a down payment for a house, so these are all acquired in the last 5 years. I am not an error collector, but I like the strike-thru that nearly obliterated the last digit of the date.
New arrival today. Obverse is a little splotchy, so may have to upgrade at a later time. But for now she'll stay in the set.
Now, I know I can not be the first person to do this, so just curious.....Anyone else start inserting their coins by their year?
@SmokinJoe Funny you should bring this up. Just the other day I decided to photograph my Lincoln raw set. 16 pages in 2 x 2's I had all the high value coins like the 09-s, 09-s VDB and so on, in TPG slabs. I sold them off.
I usually shy away from these framed sets made in the 70's but the brown memorials got me since they have low pops and the color of the unknown year coin grabbed me in. I'm also curious what the reverses look like.
