went to the bank today for work, and the teller said she had something I might be interested in and came out with these. Normally I stay away from Presidential dollars. But these being uncirculated in rolls by president, I just couldn’t resist! LoL! Wait till I show you what showed up just sitting on the counter in the lobby!

So I go out into the lobby , and 2 of these Somali 5 shilling coins are just sitting n a counter. Must be aluminum, because they are so light, but I thought they were cool with the elephants on then

 

You wish lolstill those are some nice coins.

@SVO_Seth, in gazing over my finds this week so far, i noticed i found 6 of 10 different W quarter reverses. Cool. Maybe i find another or two, today. 8 W this week so far, which is about my average.
Not sure what the day holds, lucky me, hopefully it involves collectible coins.

@Lem E, i think this is my first 1937 found. I've found about 24 indigenous persons head nickels, to date.

 

This is the third 1943 P nickel this week. I don't know if I've ever told my theory on coins that i find that same date and mint mark, in the same week.
I'm certain, these three coins were minted, one after the other, consecutively, and were then separated. In finding them this week, I've reunited the "brothers" of you will, and will keep them safely together, till they're melted. That's why these nickels basically throw themselves at me. It's because they know they'll be reunited with old siblings, and be out of circulation.
Yup.

I wish all of you, my loyal visitors, and those not so loyal, even a modicum of my success in finding coins.
I have no idea what it does for me. I found a standing liberty quarter this week, only my fourth, and i wasn't even fazed. I used to jump up and down. If i count all the coins I've found, I'm well over a thousand. I have 198 W quarters, alone. Maybe that's why the thrill is fading. Anyway, I'm pontificating again.
