    I count 5 cracks on this 96P quarter, the best one coming right out of the back of the Eagle's head!
    Obverse:
    E->R in "Liberty"
    Bust->6
    Reverse:
    E->D in "United"
    Eagle's Head->Wing
    Hairline long Eagle's Right Wing (left side)

    Nifty, and I 'toothpick' checked them all, they are all indeed cracks.
    Sorry bout the pics, camera is acting up a bit. Focus is a bit off, I believe somebody dropped her :-(

    I have a real tough time telling the difference between die cracks and scratches.... would you mind elaborating on this 'toothpick test' ?

    I use a 10-power magnifying glass to make sure but you can gab at the crack with a toothpick if you want to, but scratches feel the same to me.

    I wouldn’t really recommend the toothpick method.

    No need for toothpicks - a die crack is raised ( above the surface ) a scratch is incuse ( lower than the surface ).

    I use my nail or toothpick to gently graise the surface; a crack will stop the toothpick or nail, and if it's a scratch the toothpick or nail will go into it.
