As long as he's paying what I want or more for a coin, I'll sell to him 24/7. I just can't believe he gets away with it. NGC is 50% to blame to because they grade most of his coins. They all look the same as far as color and toning. You'd think a bell would go off.

I paid $17 for the 1897. I sold it to him for $325. Let's see what he gets for it. I have coins I collect and coins that I buy and sell. It keeps me busy and I enjoy it. Plus, it supplements my retirement.

    I understand that.

But I still can't justify his games :(

What happened to the date? Whatever he did to the coin definitely reduced the sharpness of the date.

Very talented coin doctor. I wish I could send some of my coins over to get "conserved" ;)

He had to get the coin slabbed after having paid you $325.
His profit margin might be slim.

All he has to do is have several NGC accounts and they might not ever catch on. the money he has been making over the years justifies the costs. I believe the raw ones he is selling came back cleaned/suspect so those are problem coins more so.

My fear about buying from him is would they cross over to PCGS? awhile back he had the most amazing looking toned Mercury Dime i still regret not buying it as it was absolutely breathtaking.

He uses a product called “MS70.” It tones copper.

This seller bdoubrav12012 been following him for quite some time.Has tons of artificially toned wheaties like these Indians.Doesn't even bother to say there artificial what a joke with all the positive feedback.

  19. Wow I gotta kick myself right in the butt! I just sold a 1897 1 in the neck that I guessed to be around XF for 8 dollars. I never really paid much attention to it really. All my attention at the time of posting these Indians was focused on pricing the 3 BU's and the AU 63 fatty. They go for 400? Well I'm only out 392

Charles Brooks, I love your Southern logo. Win, lose, or draw, history is history! In my opinion.

Someone will pay up for the coin. If the seller keeps getting rewarded for his behavior, they will just continue it. That's how life is.
