Hey there, I was going through a book of IHCs I just acquired and came across this rather peculiar example. I don’t have the Snow book and can’t figure it out based on Indianvarieties.com There is doubling on America, maybe some on the 3 and the 8 and there appears to be a cold sore on the indian’s lip. Any help would be appreciated!
I do not know much about varieties in this series but is the doubling possibly Longacre doubling? I think Sal posted about it some time ago.
Yes . I did . It was on my 1882 IHC but I never tracked any Snow Variety to it . I just called it Longacre Doubling .Longacre’s Doubling (error-ref.com) NumisSociety - Longacre Doubling, A discussion
Don't know about snow but... Do I notice a bit of planchet flaw coming out between T & E of states and down to the L & I of liberty?
