It is a coin counter and holder. I've been looking for at least one other one because this one is my son's. It not only stacks the coins but when filled to each coin brim it exactly fills a roll. I've been looking for a long time but obviously not in the right places. There is no manufacturer's name on it, only a ' patent pend.' stamp. Tried many sites and stores.
Can you help me? Thanks, zeke.:desk:

While looking for something else at my local Harbor Freight store.

I don't know if you have such stores in your locale but they tend to have off~brand tools and toys of all kinds at discount prices. Very good for finding tools/equipment and I like them to acquire "stuff" without moving parts.

I think they wanted about $20 for it and it included some empty paper tubes.

It worked off "D" cell batteries I believe.

Thanks guys, that looks like something to keep in mind. $12.95 plus S&H is not bad. I still want to wait until everyone has a chance to read this thread. My son cannot remember where he bought the one I show above.

I've seen similar type devices that are supposed to count your coins into rolls by height but I probably would not use them. They will often be off by one coin +/- because the roll length varies depending on the amount of wear on the coins and te strength of the strike. It has been a re-occuring topic online since at least 1999 when people started noticing that rools of the state quarters from the different mints were different lengths. Then the same observations were made on the 2004 and 2005 nickels etc. And people are often finding "thick" dimes and cents that aren't really thick, just well struck resulting in full rims. A roll of well struck cents can often be as much as four coins longer than a roll of weakly struck coins.

That's it, that's them. I bought the five of them for $12.00 including S&h.
THANK YOU Statequarter guy. This gadget is so handy and accurate.
Say, since I'm getting five, would you or anyone else want a freebie. I'm going to keep two so that leaves thee dor the first ones who PM me with their addresses. I guess I'd just like the cost for postage back, if that's okay.
When a coin slot is full I slip a preformed paper roll right down the slot and never have to count the coins out. THANKS AGAIN. My son, Sean, will be glad to get his back.:high5::goofer:

Thanks for the offer, but I bought five myself - will hand them out to the kids and keep one myself. :)
