I found this in a parking lot and it is beat up ,but it so thin and Abe and rev can still be identified, what is this?
Check out this thread I started here on CT a while back. You may have a split planchet cent. Mine weighed 1.6 grams and was also missing the last number from the date!! Unique cent | Coin Talk
Not only is it thinner, the diameter is smaller as well. Add to that, the mushy details and low weight, that's a strong indication the coin spent some time soaking in some type of acidic solution. It's damage, not an error. Years ago, I used to do this in the chem lab at college. Nitric acid does a number on coins.
