I'm not sure what this is....

    Since everyone was so helpful with my last question, I thought I'd try another.
    I would assume this is an Asian coin, but you can never be too sure. I can't read the symbols. Can someone tell me where it's from and what year it is, if it even is a coin.
    Also, there is a "cut" almost completly through that is the same size as the coin itself. Could this be an error at the mint, or are there other more probable solutions?

    Its not a genuine Chinese coin. Most likely a modern (20th century) charm.
