Likewise bud!! In your fan club too!! WaP is hilarious! Didn’t think of that! I’ll probably stop at a bank on the long drive home on Tuesday, although if I play my cards right I’ll be home before they even open!
Nice haul!! I haven’t seen anything older than ’65 in all the rolls of quarters I’ve searched. Although I have slacked off actually looking at the dates because they are always ‘66 or ‘65…got annoyed and I’m trying to only focus on the Ws. I was getting distracted by drummer boys for a bit then I ended up using them to boost my roll numbers
That's probably because you're an upstanding member of your community, and a well respected individual. Both of which, i am not. Therefore... Safe travels
Keep looking for some silver, it'll show up eventually. I've found over 150 quarters since i started looking about a year ago. i don't coin roll hunt, but it's out there.
These remind me of the pocket change of my youth. Now they are "finds." I'm not sure what's worse, getting old or not getting old.
@Marshall thanks for stopping by, and congrats on your 5000th post, which happened to fall on my thread, so thank you!
I don't use a computer to do any of this stuff, or tablet (usually), I use my phone. I'm being forced to use a tablet, and I see you have a link to your collection at NGC. Holy moly. The things we miss out on when using a tiny phone!
Speaking of NGC. I kind of want to get something graded so I have it. What is the cost to have a quarter graded? I’ve heard it’s more than the value but I kind a like the idea of having at least one graded coin. Especially one that I found myself.
Definitely more than the value. I contacted one of the higher end grading companies and they said for 100 quarters, they'd do 15 bucks each. Lower end grading company quoted 8 bucks each on 100 minimum. Between shipping and cost of grading, it's about 25 bucks for 1 modern coin. Might get you more/higher bids on fleabay, but I'm not having any of mine slabbed.
So i did get moved at work, to a higher security area, which sucks, but i see more money, if you can believe that. So, let's start things off. @Lem E, it's like I'm a magnet to silver nickels, or something. Any American coin, really, like a magnet!
