Coin Tube with Spacers?

Collectors Alliance sells coin tubes that have spacers to prevent any kind of rub. Here is a link to the one for quarters: https://www.collectorsalliance.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=10744. It seems very unique as I couldn't find anything comparable.

If anyone know of other manufacturers, I'd be interested in trying one out. Get a few and see which one I like best. For now it's the Collectors Alliance tube which I bought a couple.

Cool. I'd benefit from a cent one.
Little expensive for my blood though.

    Nice bit of storage.

My only beef is their claim that it holds a full roll of quarters. In my experience a full roll is 40 quarters, $10. Their roll is only 20 quarters, $5.

    From the website:
"Each tube holds a full roll of 20 Quarters."

These have been around for a while in the Dollar size in white, don't recall the mfg. Got one stashed somewhere, don't use it anymore. Never seen it in any other size or in clear. Nice find.

No coins, stingy people. By the way, what do you do with the other 20 quarters, duh! Gotta buy two, such a deal... Interesting though, thanks.

Interesting, yes...but can't find how it actually works. Is there an insert that fits inside the tube...you fill the slots and then insert it into the tube...? Or, how else can you get to a quarter, switch quarters, etc. without taking them all out, etc. I dunno...seems if my raw quarters were of such quality/condition that I was needing to store them without rubbing/touching others, I'd have them in flips, airtites, 2x2 snaps or some similar storage holder...esp if needing two of these to hold one REAL "full roll" of quarters...:woot:. Thanks for sharing.

    It's not really a tube...it's more of a tray with a lid.

Couldn't you achieve the same thing by using a few styrofoam pellets between the coins? Seems it would be cheaper and the beads, or pellets, are a uniform size, so it would provide good separation. Just asking.

I'm not a chemist, so not sure if the beads might affect the coins. Just a thought.

I'm no chemist either, but I'd think styrofoam would off gas even more than the plastic tubes.

Wow, thanks for the complements, I'm happy that I helped the community!

I am starting an ATB Silver Proof Quarter collection. Whenever I buy a 5 coin slab, I break them out to look/appreciate them. I was going to use a simple tube, but I would have to trust that the rims would prevent any surface contact. I'll use these tubes/trays before I commit to an album or some other way of easy display/storage

PS: The changeover to 99.9% silver sparked my interest and the 5/year makes it not boring.

Yeah right. What's up with that? They had to ruin all the fun by NOT including the coins. Took my interest away immediately.......:bigtears:

Has anyone found another vendor or LCS that sells these? I just can't believe it is only www.collectorsalliance.com. Maybe I'm not finding the right search terms.

    Hey
@Asher...have you ever bought anything from collector's alliance? I recently (last Friday) bought from them and I'm still waiting for them to send me shipping info. I saw some really bad reviews for them AFTER I made my purchase so I'm cringing, hoping my purchase will arrive.

My two plastic tubes did take a few weeks to ship. I don't know why unless they were waiting for a shipment from China. This is the only thing I bought from them. To me they are a HSN/Littleton hybrid, so they have a reputation to maintain (even if stuff is overpriced). Hang in there.
