Wacky color. I bought this mercury dime maybe 20 years ago for $3 knowing it was artificially toned....

I bought this carved cent about 10 years ago. To this day I am amazed at the details... giving it a weird wacky vibe...

This one came out of the mint cello packaging this way, no damage to the mint cello.
    Is it damage or error?

gold 76 obv.jpg gold 76 rev.jpg not sure what is going on with this. Looks like it was minted on a damaged planchet and then gold plated?

Struck thru Jefferson. Looks to have been struck thru fabric. And maybe grease on the reverse, or maybe rev die deterioration

Thats basically normal my guess would be some kind of light plating.

I'm wondering is it plated over clad or silver. Under magnification you can see the plating starting to peel.
