1984 lincoln cent possible error ?

I have been posting GB coins for a few weeks finally into my US boxes found this 1984 lincoln cent with a possible error ? theres a chunk out of 1 side of the coin and directly opposite a mark on the face which could look like a D when magnified but any opinions would be great.
Once again only iPhone pics so apologies ! I will get some better pictures as soon as possible

Damaged something hit the edge of the coin with a lot of force.

 

Ok cheers back to the suitcase for another look

Reminds me of damage done by electrical arcing. I've had it happen to tools while working on a battery and the damage looks pretty much the same.

 

It’s zinc and that is damage.
