struck through is this pmd or a true sruck through

    Looks indented into the coin so damaged or it could be solder.

    Seems like I can see material piled up around the edge of a wicked scratch!!!

    Looks like a bad scratch to me. I can see displaced metal.

    That is PMD, a scratch as you can see medal pushed to both sides.

    A pic of a strike through Meow found a few months ago. No metal displacement, and devices still visible in some places.

    You will have to give a better photo, or look for displaced metal. A scratch will always leave a raised edge next to the damage. A strike thru will be indented and show some form of die striation or metal flow lines with out a raised or displaced metal edge.

    PMD

    The line goes through the 7 which is a recessed area of the die, but is not present in the fields adjacent to the 7 which is the high point of the die.

    At this point you need to look for displaced metal and study what a strike thru looks like.

    Naw, Meow can see the channel dig into the surface like a trench. Look at the ones Meow posted. No deformed metal, just missing metal .
