My first Mithradates III. I believe it to be very nice. I paid for it though.
Incidentally what are these generally worth?

A very pleasing example. Mine is well used.

It would be interesting to clone a Mithradates ...
It's a very nice coin, which we would appreciate even more without the horrible plastic that surrounds it ;-)
Sellwood S.31.6 - This is a common type (592 drachms S.31 in my database).

This brings me to the point should I remove it. ? Seems like all Heritage Auction coins are slabbed

So you bought this and now want to know what it's worth. Probably would have been good to know the worth before bidding; at least that's the way I do it. There are several sources you can use to find out the value of a coin before you buy it. Most auction houses have a record of past sales for their coins that you can access to see what a similar coin has sold for in the past. Also, acsearce and CoinArchives show past sales for most auction houses. Good luck.

It's very personal, everyone sees things in their own way. You must not take offense at my hate of plastic ;-)

Since we have those among us who collect in different 'ways' it might be fair to ask this question:
Would the price you would have paid been higher if HA had opted for the full service NGC slab with strike and surface numbers? If I were to send that coin to NGC, I would think it worth the higher price. It is a nice coin and well centered for these. I can only assume that this one was part of a large lot sent in as a group rather than one considered as an individual. Does this make any difference to those of you who like slabs? There is definitely one advantage of paying 'too much' for coins. You get coins that way. Those of us who ask the price beforehand don't buy as many coins.

It is a beauty and well worth whatever you paid for it. Down the road, it will probably be worth more. I only have two Parthians, and now realize I should have acquired more of them a few years ago...as prices are going up everywhere.
