Here is one of my most recent purchases. I used it to fill a hole in my Dansco type set album.

    What do you all think?

I have not seen one with that all green toning, or maybe I need to adjust my computors colors? Is that rare for seated liberty halves?

By looking at it, I'm guessing he did not set the white balance on his camera and it is the lighting. That is probably a white sheet of paper in the background. (Which the white balance could have been properly set to before taking the pic ;)).

Vess has got it. That is a white sheet of paper in the background. I will have to work on the white balance. I'll try again with the photos and post them here to show my (I hope) improvement.

Same coin, new photo. Surprisingly my camera doesn't allow me to manually adjust the white balance. Instead, I played with the balance using gimp until the sheet of paper in the background was white. I think the color turned out more realistic but I lost some of the resolution in the process.

    Nice coin.
Shows plenty of detail so that someone will get a good idea of what the design would have looked like when new.
And that's my aim when I buy a coin for my type set.

Nice find! So many of them have been messed with, it's good to see one with original patina. Perfect for the album.

The second set of pics worries me a little. I'm detecting a different sort of green there. Primarily between Liberty and the stars, roughly in the 3 o'clock, and worse at the 9 o'clock position. Is that PVC green?

On a lighter note, that is a nice-looking coin. I like the Seated half design.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

That is a beautiful, choice, original, gem cameo circulated VF+ coin. That coin would make an excellent addition to anyone's set.

Hey, I got a seated liberty from ebay...it was a copy!
I had bought some coins that were in a box and when I got it there
were 2 more coins that I knew he must have been a NO seeer...or a mistake!
Then the expert husband looked at it and said...it's a copy!

There should be a law against selling fake/copy coins or other money.

    good day,
