And this is the reason I don't crack coins out of slabs.
    The seller saved the labels.
But there's no proof that the label went with the coin of the same date.

I'm not claiming this is a scam.
Couldn't tell if I wanted to from those images.

Indeed, for the key dates/pricey items, I wouldnt dare take them out of the slab, just for the sake of a collection with 100% uniformity.

I don't need them, but as you have noted, there are many reasons that I would steer clear. Almost 600 views, and only one offer.

Hmm....how can I tell how many views looked at the item? I never knew we have this visibility.

What?! So you take them out of the slabs and place the coins in a cardboard slot and think the label still has some value/credible information?

Does he think the slab is just NCG's convenient shipping container? Weird. I totally get that there are times to take coins from the slabs, but I don't think this is it. Don't let the album designers dictate how you store/display/COLLECT your coins.

This has been my point time and time again, why I dont like whitman or any other folder that tells you what goes where.
2x2's is my choice for unslabbed, and filler coins is for those spots where I have the coin slabbed. (That is if it gnaws away at me).

even if they are all kosher, the price seems high.

I've cracked open some slabs from companies other then the big four, but I would definatley not crack open an NGC op PCGS unless I were sending it back in for grading, not to sell!. This is just a red flag to me.

At one time I was cracking out coins I was buying for my type set.
I was putting them in Eagle Holders; they looked nice.
    Then I changed my mind.
Let's just say it cost me big bucks to re-slab them all.

LESSON LEARNED: Make sure you want to free your coins from their little plastic cages before you go ahead and do it.
    Try and think ahead.

There are more than one collector on this site who crack every slab they mistakenly buy. They just do not like coins in slabs.

Aside from that, has anyone noticed that this is an American seling hsi American collection on a eBay of Canada?

I noticed the same thing...I had to log on again, and the prices came up with both shown.

I am almost positive this is the same seller I bought a couple of coins from 2-3 years ago though, and I had no problem. This is strange.

Evidently the views are coming from Coin Talk.

If you look at this on the Canada site, there are 600 views, and if you look at it on the US site, it has only 9 views!

    CT is Powerful!!!!!

I am not sure what you are looking at, but there are 619 views on the US site for me. Either something caught on real fast or you have a third site?
