To be a collector of US coins and living in Norway can be a pain in the back, but I have a good friend helping me (us) in my US coin and bank note group for Norwegians only. He has helped me with all Wes Poin mint quarters from 2019, but I have to say that crown of rare modern coins I got must be 2017 S native American dollar. Sequoyah - Enhanced Uncirculated. Mintage: 223,310 I would assume that is a very low circulation of coins in the United States. What is your rarest modern coin
Not sure its either my 2020 W salt River bay or possibly my 2019 s proof cent but can't find the mintage.
My rarest Modern U.S. Coins are the 1995-W American Silver Eagle (mintage 30,125) and the 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof ASE (mintage 29,910)
Ok here it is with a mintage of only estimate 1 million.Out beats my W quarters by a whole million. If you think about it that's a pretty low mintage for a modern cent.
My 2011 ASE DDO Bullion from the 2011 5 Piece Anniversary Set. I have 2 of them. 2011 $1 ASE WDDO-001 CONECA: 1-O-VI
I'd say the 5 rolls of 2005 s clad quarters off the top of my head at about 1.4m of each.. but after checking my 2005 p SMS satin finish Sacagawea there were only 1.1m made or even my 1996 w dime at 1.4m the lowest minted dime of all.. but then i remembered my 2014p kennedy high relief silver half dollar... Mintage: 221,135. so i guess it's my rarest modern
without doing an extensive search of my collection I believe it’s my 1995 S Silver proof quarter with 679,985 minted
The red book says 25,015 for this one. Think its to old for modern? Commemorative and ASE's are one thing the real rarities come from coins produced for circulation. A lot of nice stuff being posted here tonight.
