Interested in what you would grade this and what it's worth. The brown thing just below Liberty's ear is debris inside the 2x2. Also, notice the die crack from the base of the neck to the rim imediately to the left of the first one in the date.

I would grade this a VG-8. Value would be around $100-110. I looked on ebay closed auctions and didn't find none in this grade, the goods were going between $66 and $80.

VG8...can't go any higher...not a full rim....it might get a NET grade because of the rim on the back....at the least G6....

I found a 1920 today in a drawer at work. It's very worn and in pretty bad shape. if I had to guess it's quality is poor or less? I wish I could get my scanner to work so you all can see it first hand. Gonna grab the update and hopefully I'll get it to work.

startrek91481, the 1920 mercury dime in the condition you are saying would only be worth melt value of the silver in it, about 45 or 50 cents. The 21 and 21d is a key date coin, that is why they are worth more.

that's cool. My scanner is being difficult. And hey .40 or .50 is more than expected since I have some indian pennies that are VG ect ect and they were only worth cents.

I like the crack. It looks like it goes from top to bottom. Isn't that the same crack between the B and E, and another between the R and T?

Yes, I think it may be the same crack all the way from top to bottom. I can see it fainly on the coin going up the middle of the neck and then again between the hairline and the wing. That definately is another die crack between the R and the T. Kinda neat
