Good evening all I was searching more coins today and pretty sure these two are errors but just to be sure I thought I would share and get some further insight. the first coin is a quarter which I’m pretty sure has been struck through grease so a lot of the details on the right hand side are missing the second is a 1944 wheat penny which I think is either a die chip or lamination error under the chin ( the penny is in pretty bad shape though ) any thoughts please feel free to moment. Many thanks in advance Error by Darren Edwards posted Sep 16, 2021 at 7:31 PM Error by Darren Edwards posted Sep 16, 2021 at 7:31 PM Error by Darren Edwards posted Sep 16, 2021 at 7:31 PM 1944 by Darren Edwards posted Sep 16, 2021 at 7:31 PM 1944 by Darren Edwards posted Sep 16, 2021 at 7:31 PM Error? by Darren Edwards posted Sep 16, 2021 at 7:31 PM
1995 is a decent Greaser nice and the wheatie my first thought was a lamination but it appears to be just damaged.
Thank you for the reply, yea the quarter really does look good and I’m happy it still has the date, it was very hard to tell with the penny being in such bad shape, I noticed the damage in the close up but still couldn’t determine if it was PMD or an error, was obviously hoping for an error lol. Thanks again for the reply
Thanks for the reply, although I’ve read a few things regarding laminations recently how did you determine that this is? Is it the shape and the fact it’s raised? Thanks again
I was 50/50 on it. My pictures also don’t help with determining what it could be to be fair lol. Once I learn how to take better pictures I’m sure it will be easier for you guys to determine if I have errors or PMD
