Jeff nickle rim issue

I pulled this nickle out of a roll search. I thought the rim looked a little un even. Is this just wear or a die strike issue?

It depends what the other side looks like.

It might be struck just a tiny, tiny bit off center, or it could be a misaligned die strike.

In either case, it has nothing to do with wear.

 

The reverse looks normal.

 

Within normal striking parameters. When the devices are cut by the edge is when it's probably a keeper.
