Were these dimes cleaned?

Found these in a stack of dimes. The others were not nearly as shiny. Are those scratches on the surface that indicate cleaning? I was considering gifting these to a mercury dime collector, should I now look for something else?

The photos of this one aren't as great, but is this a better coin to gift? (also a 1939-S)

Hard to tell for sure from the photos but the one on the left definitely looks like it may have been.

I can take better photos, by gum... so let's try these. It's like visiting the eye doctor: "Which is better, 1, 2, or 3?"

It's hard to see through the flip, but there's a slight pinkish tone to the one in the coin flip.

If you see any scratches or weir discoloring chances are it has!!

#1 is the keeper for me, although I would like to see a shot without the flip. #2 looks the best but is has a few nasty rim hits, and looks to be lightly cleaned. #3 is again a nice looking coin but not as nice as #2 and also appears to be lightly cleaned.

I'm just starting to learn about what cleaned coins look like. In my opionon it looks like they both have been cleaned.

Thanks for all the input. Because I have so much respect for someone who only posts in italics, here is a flip-less version of the first dime.

Lots of unnatural sheen in your first 2 pix. Really looked cleaned.
