Hello all, I purchased this coin a while back which was misattributed as from Hesse-Darmstadt. I don't have any reference book that would cover this, and I don't see it listed on Numista so via Google I found this listing which identifies the coin as from Sayn-Wittgenstein, but the image on the NGC listing is not the same. I'm leaning towards Sayn-Wittgenstein being correct but I'm just looking for confirmation. The coin also has a funky 90 degree rotation.
Quite a long way down the page https://www.ma-shops.com/monetarium...Germany+kreuzer+1686&submitBtn=Search&lang=en @ma-shops is a member here I believe
Thank you, I do see the listing. I'm hoping maybe someone can point me in the direction of a second source where it's listed in a reference book or such.
I think you got it right. Your listing references Katalognummer: M.-J./V. 238 . I'm not sure which books those are referring to. The NGC page also refers to that same reference https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide...er-km-122-1685-1686-cuid-1162444-duid-1395473 https://www.ma-shops.de/kuenkeramdom/item.php?id=16321
M.J./V. refers to Muller-Jahnke-Volz reference " Die Munzen und Medaillen der graflichen Hauser Sayne" 1975
