If in these coins Lincoln could have an extra finger, why not teeth! doublings are perfect. Do you experts agree with me?
Not a doubled thumb and I have no idea about the teeth thing your talking about it looks like my average pocket change.
Why not extra teeth? Because there are NO TEETH in the portrait design. How can you double something that's not there?
Of course Lincoln had teeth. Doesn’t everybody? I clearly see the teeth but I’m not sure what caused them. I’m not seeing any doubling on the coin.
Well placed plating blisters. Enlarged I see a couple of hits to the thumb but not a doubled die. Trust me, I gone through my share of these.
It’s different and I’ll go with unique. But it’s not valuable. Neither are Franklins with a die clash known as Bugs Bunny Halves. And they are 90% silver. Probably zinc blisters that haven’t popped open. If they do pop open then Lincoln will have cavities in no time.
Please do send it in to a TPG for authentication and post the results here. You may have found a brand new variety.
Check out these several hundred 2009 1c listings https://doubleddie.com/92301.html and tell us how valuable they are. You seem fixated on the "valuable" thing and the only way you'll ever find out is to put it on ebay or etsy and see how much somebody will pay you for it. None of the experts here are going to tell you it's worth squat.
I can do that with a fine tip marker! No added value! There are a few others on CT that keep asking "what's it worth, or any value here" or some similar question!!! If you are looking for a get rich quick hobby, you probably picked the wrong one! Maybe you should try hunting for dinosaur bones!!!
So your original post was click bait? You actually don't care what the experts say and whether they agree with you or not means nothing because it's unique and valuable in your world. Gotcha
I'm not dissing on the OP, but all it takes is one of us to place an arbitrary value on a coin like this and it validates the question of value. Then it ends up on another site for sale at some terribly high price, and possibly with a quote from us. We need to be careful about not doing this as you all probably know. Feed the bear once and it might be nice to you. Feed it twice and it might take your hand off.
