    Good evening again all

I was looking at some of my 80s dimes and noticed the spreading of USUNUM on the right hand side of the coin. I have taken pictures of all areas to show differences in parts of the coin. I’m guessing the weak areas are struck through grease? I just wanted to know what causes the spreading on some of the lettering? Is it more DDD or MD? I looked in variety vista but they don’t show any reverse doubling on this date. Any help as always is much appreciated

Most likely a bit of struck thru grease / debris.

…with the other wear evident on the torch, looks like smashed letters from circulation wear…imo…Spark
