Local antique shop has these coins listed for $300. Not really sure if it's worth it. The pic is crap because it's behind glass and the lady who showed them to me spilled the coins and carelessly threw them back in the case undoubtedly scratching them and getting dirt and oils on them from her grubby little fingers. Thoughts, comments, ect are welcome. Will get better pics. Just looking for some advice
I would be curious to see some better pictures that provide more detail; any chance these might be impaired proofs/presentation strikes?
I'd be taking a closer look at them for rare varieties at least - the half crown and double florin have some rare varieties at least: https://www.coincuriosity.com/view/1887-half-crown-varieties.html and https://www.coincuriosity.com/view/1887-double-florin-varieties.html I think there is a proof florin variety that isn't listed in Davies as well (dies 3+A).
