A guy I work with got interested in coins several years ago, after I shoewd him some of my stuff. He bought a bag of 5000 wheats on ebay, and found a harshly cleaned 1914. i got out my 45x microscope, and it is a D! Very worn, harshly cleaned , a p02, but it's definately a D. He wants to sell it on ebay, but I can't seem to make the D show up in pictures. I will try super macro in the sun tomorrow. This is the first 14 D cent I've ever held. It had some 'Green', so it's soaking in verdi-gone right now. I'll try to post a pic.

I think ebay is a great place for that one! I do not have a 1914-D, but I don't think I'd settle for that particular one. Some fool will pay too much for it, and you he buy something worth owning with the money.

First off, I doubt that verdi-gone will work on that coin. That stuff is for minor corrosion. Secondly, if you are that sure it is a 14-D, my guess is that it would pay to have it certified (ANACS or DGS).
