    Hi All,

Just a wanted to generate a post about @Mark Metzger

I recently posted about getting interested in world coins and looking into options of buying bulk lots to sort. Mark posted one day offering to send me a package with some of his leftover bulk from his past searches.

Well the package came in the mail today and I was blown away by what I saw! Over 3lbs, close to 4lbs of all kinds of world coinage. A Queen Vic penny, some older pennies from Austraila, small silver from Portugal, some super cool tokens. The variety and date range is amazing and exactly what I was looking for. I don't even know where to start!

Some pics below of some cool stuff I've found so far. More will be posted as the search continues.

Thank you again Mark for you amazing kindness and generosity!

I’m happy to pass along some happiness to a fellow enthusiast and forum member. My son Henry and I have been treated so well over the years by forum members like @Aethelred @lordmarcovan @Randy Abercrombie and @PaddyB that I felt the need to pay it forward.

Wow, that’s a nice lot! Good on you, @Mark Metzger! Some of those old 2x2s look like the 1970s-vintage holders that were in that lot you got that began my numismatic friendship with you.

I still have an ex-Metzger piece in my Eclectic Box collection. <—slow-loading link, there

To date, this Esperanto piece remains arguably the finest known: population 1, none higher at PCGS- though I admittedly have not checked the NGC pops. Bet there aren’t too many there, either.

@chlorinated - welcome to the wonderful, educational, and rewarding world of World coins!

(aka “The Darkside”, if you will. You’ll receive your lightsaber and dark robes in the mail soon.) ;)

Thank you Lord M. The new coins are amazing and it's hard to decide where to start on sorting.

I've been following your eclectic box collection and you have some incredible pieces in there!

Can't wait for the lightsaber and robes!

I had a Darth Vader “JOIN THE DARK SIDE” animated GIF to post, but my stupid iPhone doesn’t work with those, for some reason.

Rusty staples... now there’s the mark of an old-timey collection! Just be sure they’re all crimped good and flat if you’re gonna keep the old holders. Snags and staple scratches can have tragic consequences.

It had been a while since I had checked out the eclectic box…you’ve been busy @lordmarcovan ! There is some great stuff in there. I particularly like the proof Indian Head Cent.

I have been careful when moving them, and have already removed several I to brand new mylar flips.

My plan is to sort by country, cull out the duplicates and then put unique stuff in flips and ID with KM# and such. Will take some time but so much fun!

I'm going to need to buy more flips! Just got 100 in the mail and that's not going to cut it.....lol
