US Mint Space Age Medal-World’s First

Here’s a new one. 1962 Seattle Worlds Fair. The 3rd photo says it all-Made at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia by an authorization of Congress. This is the Official Medal of the Seattle World’s Fair. United States SPACE AGE commemorative MEDAL.

Has anyone seen this before? Any member have one of these?

 

Cool medal, never heard of it before. I always thought Century 21 was a real estate agency.

 

They are. Read the second photo as that explains why they are on the coin.

 

I’m really curious to know if other members have seen something like this before.

 

I have seen other things like it, namely, official medals of World's fairs. I've seen certified examples of that particular one selling for around $30 - $40. I don't know if the original packaging adds to the value, but I suppose that would depend on the buyer.

I haven't run across any from the Seattle World's Fair before, but I found the sites with info (below).
The coin looks really plain and lack-luster to me.
I believe the coins that were struck by the mint were the silver ones but can't say for sure. Evidently they were struck in gold, silver, and bronze.
