Good afternoon all while looking through some of my older possessions I came across this old silver certificate and wanted to know if you guys think it’s an ink transfer? Only one side seems to have it and it’s the correct color as far as I can tell? Any help would be much appreciated Silver certificate by Darren Edwards posted Sep 11, 2021 at 2:24 PM Silver certificate by Darren Edwards posted Sep 11, 2021 at 2:24 PM
Sorry, but it's ink transfer from being wet against something green, maybe another note, not sure. If it were a print transfer, you'd see clear images of letters, etc. of which I see none.
Thank you for the reply. Sorry I meant ink transfer lol. I will get the terminology down in the end ( I hope ). The color seems correct to be from another note but is there any way of being able to tell if it actually is?
Thank you for the reply. I get that about the print being legible if it were a print transfer. So it’s looking like PMD rather than an ink error of any sort?
I have a 80% back on front and a front to back. 2 separate Notes of course . Here is the Back on front for example purposes only .
That makes perfect sense. I was going crazy trying to find out how this would of happened. Many thanks for the reply
That’s a really cool bank note. Thanks for sharing. Mine has now been determined as a machine washed note ( possibly ) so back in my drawer it goes lol.
No, as bricks are flat and the ink transfer on this note is exactly half of the note, so it was folded when it happened. It just got some ink transferred from what it was up against when it possibly went through the washer or got soaked.
