I have a nice complete collection of melt bin Franklins. This one is nicer than the ‘55 in the folder but because it’s a bugs bunny I’ll probably put it in a 2x2 and will keep hunting for an upgrade to the book.

    thanks for looking.

Could you imagine working at a smelting facility ? The heart break you'd probably experience everyday?

It’s amazing how much ‘melt bin’ treasure there is to find.

Can you show a closeup. Not sure what I’m looking at. Teeth maybe?

Unfortunately I already filed the coin away, but you are exactly correct. It is the teeth. It's a die clash right in the mouth area with the eagle's wing tips from the reverse. Not really rare and can be found in quite a few date/mint mark combo's in the Franklin series.

    Thanks for looking.
