That's how many visits CoinTalk had in 2009. I was super excited when I saw that CoinTalk was visited over a million times last year. That's counting both members, and people who casually browsed at least one page at CoinTalk. That's a huge increase over 2008, when "only" 580,210 people visited. Now, as if there weren't enough reasons to be on your best behavior, next time you're considering being naughty remember that number. Lots of people are watching you. We're off to a strong start in January too. We're averaging over 4,000 people each day dropping by to join in the conversations or just to take a peek. If we keep on this pace, CoinTalk may just double again this year. One of the things behind these numbers that really makes me proud is the big increase in YN's we see here regularly. It's always been a primary mission of CoinTalk to bring experienced collectors together with YN's to help bring the next generation into the hobby. I believe that this is the most important thing we can do along with our collecting. And, I believe we all deserve a huge round of applause for the great work we're doing here to that end!
Fantastic! Congratulations!!! It's because this is such a well-run site. It is moderated, and problems are dealt with. Most discourse is reasonable, even if argumentative at times, so overall it's a pleasant place to be.
It really has helped me keep my interest level high for colecting again and at the same time learn new things. I keep thinking back to when I was a kid that I had to go to the libray to get a book or buy a book at the coins shows, which I did not go to that often. I also am amazed at the quality of advice given on here. There is a lot of "value added" to this site and I thank everyone.
Or better yet, CoinWorld, Oh, that's already taken, sorry.....:rolling: Good news for 2009 and better news looking into 2010
I'll do my best to "not be naughty", but at times I just can't help myself..... Congrats on the numbers Peter and looking foward to having them double in 2010.
As I have ofter said As I have ofter said~ now has renewed meaning. ConGrats! (We only used to have to say it to each other~Now we have twice as many to say it to!:high5
Peter, this site has been a tremendous help for me as I have gotten back to by boyhood hobby this year. Thanks! and congratulations!
Congradualtions to Peter and the Moderators. But, also congradualtions to a tremendous amount of people (members) that contribute a lot here. My hat is off to all of you.
Congratulations to everyone who keeps this going, and especially to Peter who does a huge amount of work behind the curtain to make this available for us. It can be a thankless job at times... we should all make sure it's not!
