Where has that been hiding out for the last 55 years? Yes, 55 and not 56 since they didn't start minting them until November of that year and about halfway into 1966. Whenever I see 1965 dated quarters they are definitely survivors of a long circulation pattern. Finding nice coins like yours are definitely rare - probably less likely to find that than a silver quarter.
