Really need some help here. Having a bit of a brain fart. LOL. Can anyone tell me what kind of Doubling I am seeing ? Checked everywhere and can't find anything . Thanks in as Advance dudes. Big Sal
Dead straight, flat and the reduction of width of the letters suggests MD. When single squeeze formation of the hub started any listed "doubling" is normally toward the centre devices of the coin.
Discovery coin? Have to send it in for verification. Micro doubling will not be of much interest to most people. Its cool stuff anyways. You might get an attribution.
My guess would be Liberty has some doubling . My guess is also two minor for coneca . If you send it in, send it in to john . Good luck ..
Nice thickening of the 'Liberty' indicating some doubling, and maybe at the top left portion of the shield.
A bit of bubbling, spotting, and lamination in my opinion. I would not send it in, I would keep it, I like it Sal. Thanks
The extra thickness of LIBERTY …is very pronounced…and all the letters show it uniformly, my guess is this will eventually be classed as a DDO for 2021. Take a shot and send it to John Wexler…imo…Spark
I just sent a cent, a 2007-D, to John, following his instructions. The instructions are on the “Coin Examinations” tab at the top left of the homepage (doubleddie.com). A padded envelope (6X10 Ready Post from USPS) and postage was $4.20, and insur. $2.45 for $50 coverage. Attrib. fee is $5.00, return postage 4.20 , return insur. 2.45…included a personal check fo $11.65 to cover all expenses as instructed. They provide the return padded envelope. Now I just have to wait up to 6 weeks, but sooner happens sometimes with no glitches. The cent I sent is unlisted at VV or Wexler, is DDR with 2 diagonal bars to the right of the statue of Lincoln…Spark
I agree wholeheartedly. Nice thickness Sal! (And I'm not talking about old age drift of pecs to the midsection!! )
Hmmmm. The reverse shield. I kinda agree. But that fades as I move my coins mostly. I can’t tell then
