As most can tell that know me, I buy coins that jump out at me ("speaks to me" just makes it sound like you are a clockwork orange), historical figures, unique/funny rarities and for artistry. A few things jumped out at me on this one: First, the core coming through makes for a very gnarly look of either Herakles with a really bad sun tan or like a man breaking free from imprisonment, ala Hans Solo: As well, Zeus with legs open means there is a chance it is a lifetime issue! Here is my new (to me) fouree drachm in the name of ATG. But is it? The fact that it is a fouree and the AΛEΞANΔPOY is kinda missing the POY (like calling him Alex instead of Alexander) makes me wonder if it is a contemporary imitation. Searching ACsearch I am unable to find any drachms of the like with the dolphin/fish(?) diving down and the ΛY under Zeus's butt (no throne, he is just master of the squats!). Does anyone have a coin of the like or know who, where and when this coin is from? The coin came with the simple description of: MACEDONIAN KINGDOM. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR Drachm. Weight: 3.5 gr Diameter: 17 mm Any help identifying this coin, other ATGs or coins in the name of, fourees, thoughts, laughs et al are appreciated
